Dyears the natural reserve of 18.000 hectares
which overlaps the borders, in a wet forest, dense and difficult
of access, is located one of the natural curiosities most
outstanding of South America, the falls of Iguazu. The Argentinian
ones and the Brazilian ones dispute the privilege from the
best points of view on the falls.
To have an overall vision of these falls, it is necessary
to go on the two sides of the border.
Argentinian side one approaches some by paths and footbridges
which respect the forest. The cataracts of Iguazu are formed
by an abrupt disalignment of the course of the river, which
falls à.pic from high basaltic cliffs from 60 to 70
m on a development of four kilometers.
The flow of the falls of the Niagara east, certainly, more
imposing (although water falls only 56 m there in height),
but the natural framework of the falls of Iguazu, this wild
vegetation preserved so well, gives to those a picturesque
higher good.
