Salta "Linda",
Salta the Beautiful one, was founded in 1582, it preserved the
majority of these colonial buildings. The provincial life style
agrees well with the environment of the streets and the places
of the old city which preserves the charm of the colonial cities
that one seldom finds in the large Argentinas cities. Because
of the intense heat which reigns during the day, the city becomes
animated only the evening. The streets are transformed then
into market where Bolivian makes sometimes their appearance.
In the north of Argentina, the religion holds an important fortified
town, this is why in Salta one finds a number important of church
and an interesting cathedral.
Salta is only with 1.200m of altitude. To go in San Antonio
los Cobres, which is only to 150 km, but to an altitude of 3775
m, it is necessary to take the tren of mow nubes (train of the
clouds) which traverses 220 km in unforgettable landscapes.

the Quechua Indians. Preserved by its insulation, Cachi kept
its colonial pace, its low houses and its narrow and paved streets.
Cafayate is a small paradise of greenery, irrigated carefully,
leaned in the Cordillera which dominates the valleys of its
tops of ochre color.
