TIERRA DEL FUEGO
It is Magellan who gave the Ground name of Fire to this territory, because of the blazing infernos which it saw the night on the coasts of the mysterious islands.
The ground of fire, divided between Argentina and Chile, was for a long time only the place of an immense breeding of sheep which did not seem to interest anybody. Then the richnesses (oil - gas) were discovered and gave to the ground fire an unthinkable prosperity hitherto. Ushuaia, the most southern city of the world (name disputed by the Chilean ones) became an industrial city, but saw also fishing, it attracts the tourists, in particular those of the sailing ships which traverse the summer the channels between the Earth of Fire and the innumerable islands.
But Ushuaia is especially the starting point of cruisings towards Canales Argentinian and Chilean.

To the extreme south, where water of the Atlantic is involved in those with the Pacific, emerge from the landscapes of another world: islands, fjords, eternal ices, icebergs with the drift on green and quiet water. They are also the crashes of the ices which break and the small wearing of fishermen charged with the Cape-Horners.
