has town of Cochabamba is located at 2600 meters, in the valleys of the Andes cordillera, with with far, the Tunari mountain which dominates this part of the country top of its 5050 meters.
Cochabamba is one of the cities most pleasant of Bolivia, thanks to its completely privileged climate, and because it is also the gastronomical stopover of Bolivia.
The city does not miss assets, although its colonial architecture was strongly damaged. It has a coloured urban market, called "the attractive cancha", and excursions towards the sites incas which formed the culture cochala: Chapare, the site of Toro Toro and, obviously, Valle Viola.

Visit city :
El Palacio de Portales is undoubtedly the most luxurious house ever built in Bolivia. It was built, between 1913 and 1922, for Simon I Patino, the most fortunate man of Latin America.
You will be able to admire there, in addition to a counterpart of the Sixtine Vault and Alhambra de Cordoue, gardens with the Frenchwoman and a whole luxury of Versailles.
The museum of Anthropology presents a selection of objects INCA and Tiwanakota as well as the remainders of the oldest man of Bolivia (-14.000 years).
Cancha is the market of the markets of Bolivia, one finds all there, and more still. To see!
Cochabamba will not disappoint the visitors who like the good table, you will find there many restaurants and varied and succulent mets.

Surroundings of Cochabamba :
The road of Valle Alto is that of the chicha (local drink) and the markets (gone of, market potato of ceramics, market of corn...) where one discovers the essence of the heart quechua of Bolivia.
Valle Alto cochabambino is marked out small villages like, Tarata which shelters a convent franciscain of the 18 3rd century as well as the house of two celebrities of the Bolivian history: Melgarejo and Barrientos. Their old residence became besides one of best the chicherias of the village. The church and the place are very beautiful as well as the colonial architecture of the houses.
Tuesday in the village of Punata is held the largest market of the area. More modest is the market with potatoes which take place saturdays morning. Here the chicha is supposed to be best country, and one counts a chicheria by five inhabitants there!
The village ofArani is famous for its bread and its church.
Totora is a very pretty village at charming the colonial houses.
The visit of the sites of Inka Rakay, Inkallajta and Chapare is a course which at the same time makes it possible to combine the culture, the discovery and the relaxation.
Ruins ofInka Rakay , where the discovery of the site is as beautiful as the sight, splendid, on the valley of Cochabamba.
On the site ofInkallajta (the most important ruins incas of Bolivia) is a fortress which protected the valleys from the attacks of the Indians chiriguanos. Seven concentric walls surround the site. A long wall would have supported the roof of what was the largest covered building of Incas.
