Colombian
Amazonia is a large territory which forms nearly one the third
of the country, with a surface of 400.000 km ², covered
in majority by the still impenetrable virgin forest, and which
presents undulations varying between 100m and 600m to the top
of the sea level.
It has an average temperature of 27°C and an average moisture
above 90%, a diversity of incomparable flora, a single fauna,
but in fact especially the pink and gray dolphins of the Amazon
draw the attention of the visitors.
LETICIA
Located directly on northern bank of the Amazon, the capital
of Amazonas, Leticia, are the only city of the department
to have an infrastructure making it possible to receive tourism
of mass adequately.
With a population of 27.000 inhabitants, Leticia is an vain
and quiet small town lost at the bottom of Amazonia.
Leticia is a city interesting for the excursions which are
proposed in the immediate surroundings or several sites while
going down or by going up the Amazon, depend on time or the
budget available. One can leave in excursion one day or two
days, or even a week or more.
PUERTO
NARINO
Located at 90 km of Leticia in full virgin forest, Puerto
Nariño, which counts 5.000 inhabitants, this small
commutated is furrowed by stone pavements, and there is no
towing vehicle in circulation.
