The NORTH of Costa Rica
Alajuela is the birthplace of the national hero Juan Santamaria. A museum is dedicated to him which contains memories of the man and objects of the everyday life to the 19éme century.
To 35 km of the city the National park is Volcan Poas.
Sarchi is the village where the famous carts (carretas) are elaborate, one of the symbols of Costa Rica. They are entirely decorated with the hand in workshops which one can visit.
Close to the Nicaraguan border is the National park Cano Negro and its lake of 800 ha which increase or decrease according to the rain season, until sometimes disappearing completely.

The NORTH-WESTERN one of Costa Rica

In the sector of the towns of Palmares and San Ramon, the majority of people are rather fair with the clear eyes. The Costa Rican ones are accustomed to saying that all fair countries come from there.

Santa Cruz offers all the charm of the villages of formerly, with its church and its central park.
Guaitil is famous for the manufacture of ceramics in the oldest tradition chorotega (culture précolombienne). Around Guaitil one finds a great number of beautiful beaches, among most beautiful, one counts the beaches of Avellana, Tamarindo, Grande, Junquillai, langosta, Flamingo, Conchal and Brasilito.
With a score of kilometers of Nicoya, the National park Barra Honda comprises 19 caves of large beautée.

The SOUTH-WESTERN one of Costa Rica

The picturesque village of Aserri offers a very beautiful panorama on the Central Valley.
Cerro of Muerte (Mountain of dead) is thus called because of the many imprudent victims of this top of 3491 m.
The town of San Isidro de El General is the starting point for the rise of Cerro Chirripo (the most top of Costa Rica with 3819 m)
In the south of San Isidro exists a multitude small boroughs which keep the charm of the countryside of Costa Rica.
The descendants of the Indians Borucas and Bruncas still live the communes of Térraba and of Boruca, they are skilful craftsmen in basket making.
In this area, you will be able to also visit the National park of Corcovado, the last virgin wet forest of all the Central America.

MID-WEST of Costa Rica

Puntarenas is a very animated city, it has many hotels, restaurants, discotheques, and on its fine sand beach, you will taste coolings containing fruits
De Puntarenas, you can go on the original island of San Lucas. It is a penitentiary where the prisoners live in freedom, not bars! They manufacture and sell artisanal objects for the visitors, Sundays.
Close to the village of Tarcoles, each beach has its style, its aspect, its nature, sometimes its small village of fishermen and especially its to lay down sun.
The beach of Tarcoles is the first balneal stage on the coast of the central Pacific. Then one finds Punta Leona, Playa Herradura and Playa Jaco.
Tarcoles is located at orée of the Biological Reserve Carara.

With approximately 30km of Parrita the National park extends Manuel Antonio which with its sand white beaches is certainly one of the most popular park of the country.

The PEACEFUL DIMENSION of Costa Rica

Along this long coast of approximately 1000km spout out the seaside resorts of Playa Grande, Playa Nosara, Playa Jaco and Playa Manuel Antonio.
